What a fantastic day we had taking part in the Marathon Relay today! Each child ran 1 or 2 laps, combining their efforts to complete a full marathon as a team.

We were especially proud that the children achieved their fastest relay time ever this year!- a testament to their enthusiasm for fitness throughout the year!

‍

Many thanks to School Fitness Ireland for running this wonderful event and to our Parents Council for helping to organise the day and making it such a success!

‍

To top it all off, the children were treated to well-earned ice creams afterwards!

Well done to all our amazing runners- it was a great day filled with teamwork, fun and plenty of smiles!

What a day! Our marathon relay was completed in an amazing 2 hours and 41 minutes. Huge congrats to everyone who took part! The weather was absolutely gorgeous, making it even better. Massive thanks to Darren Shan for sponsoring and to everyone who donated.

After the relay, we had some fun with a 3-legged race, which Ms. Wixted and Catherine aced! The teachers then took on the 6th Class students in a super competitive tug-of-war. To top it all off, the boys and girls were treated to ice cream from the ice cream van. What a day of fun and teamwork!
