Second Class Christmas Update 2025

As we come to the end of a busy and exciting term in Second Class, we are delighted to look back on all the wonderful learning and festive fun we have shared together.

One of the highlights of our month was taking part in our Christmas concert, Christmas with the Aliens. The children sang, acted, and performed with great confidence and enthusiasm, and we are so proud of all their hard work.

Throughout December, the classroom was full of creativity as we completed lots of festive art activities, decorating our room with colour, sparkle, and Christmas cheer. We also enjoyed learning about Christmas traditions in our families and around the world, discovering how people celebrate in many different ways.

In literacy, we worked on persuasive writing, using our best reasoning skills to write thoughtful and convincing letters to Santa—our arguments were very strong this year! In maths, we learned about money, subtraction and number patterns.

We also took part in our Communion enrolment preparation, beginning our journey toward this special sacrament.

Earlier in the term, we celebrated Science Week, carrying out fun investigations and exploring how things work. We also marked Anti-Bullying Week, learning the importance of kindness, inclusion, and speaking up for ourselves and others.

A big thank you also to the Parents’ Council for organising a fantastic treat bag and donuts. We enjoyed watching a Christmas movie together.

It has been a term full of learning, laughter and festive spirit. Well done, Second Class, for your hard work and wonderful enthusiasm.

Thanks to Linda for all her help in the classroom and on yard.

Happy Christmas everyone!
