Second Class Summer Update

As we come to the end of a wonderful year in Second Class, we look back on all the fantastic experiences and achievements we have shared together.

A highlight of the year was celebrating the children’s Holy Communion. It was a very special occasion, and we are so proud of each and every child. A sincere thank you to Father Wren and Father Dominic for all their support and guidance in preparing the children for this important milestone.

The children have been busy across all areas of the curriculum. In Art, they created beautiful clay pieces and produced vibrant and colourful summer artwork.

They enthusiastically took part in the Marathon Relay and enjoyed learning valuable skills through the PAWS Water Safety Programme.

In English, we finished reading The Twits by Roald Dahl. The children thoroughly enjoyed the novel, and we had great fun watching the movie adaptation after finishing the book.

In Geography, we learned about the counties and provinces of Ireland and explored some of our major rivers and mountain peaks. We also broadened our knowledge by learning about the continent of Africa.

Our school tour to Free Range Kids in Croome was a huge success. The children participated in a variety of exciting activities, including collaborative games, baking cookies and playing petting some animals.

A special word of thanks to Linda, our amazing SNA, for all the care, support and kindness she shows every day. We are so grateful for everything she has done for our class.

Well done to all the children for their hard work, enthusiasm and positive attitude throughout the year. You should be very proud of all you have achieved.

Wishing everyone a very happy, safe and relaxing summer holiday. We look forward to seeing you again in September!
