Food Dudes

Kilcornan National School has proudly participated in the Food Dudes healthy eating programme for many years. The programme works by changing children’s attitudes towards healthy eating, allowing them to cultivate a liking for fresh fruit and vegetables. Built and developed on three pillars of scientific merit, (1) repeated tastings, (2) rewards and (3) role modelling, Food Dudes has proven itself as an effective evidence-based school-based healthy eating programme. This web page includes games, worksheets and videos for parents to download for primary school children of all ages to make learning about fruit, vegetables and healthy eating fun. Each week ,new resources in English and Irish will be added. Thanks to Mrs. Gleeson for her yearly organisation of this programme and for providing us with the link to these excellent resources.
