6th Class Easter Update

What an unusual term this was, with remote learning back in place in January. Ms Mullane was so proud of all of 6th class and the fantastic work they did during this tricky time. Well done to everyone!

Luckily we were back in our classrooms on March 15th and we were all so excited to see each other. We spent lots of time chatting, having fun as a class and playing with our friends.

In Maths, we did some revision and also tackled long division with decimals. During Station Teaching, we did mystery Maths and had to crack the code with our partner. This was so much fun.

In Literacy, we explored and learned the poem ‘The Daffodils’ by William Wordsworth. Some of our parents remember learning this when they were in school! We also started a new novel called ‘Wonder’ by R.J. Palacio. We are looking forward to reading about the heartwarming and inspiring story of Auggie Pullman.

We had lots of fun completing some Easter inspired art, especially our egg characters! One of our parents was very creative with an Easter themed lunch box!

We loved celebrating World Book Day with the overall prize going to Mark O Rourke, who dressed up as Hedwig from Harry Potter!

We have loved playing our new board games in our Pods, that we kindly got from our Parents’ Council, thank you!

We look forward to our next term! Stay tuned for more updates!
