Sixth Class Mid Term Update

Welcome back everyone! It was so nice to get back together after the Summer holidays! We were delighted to see all our friends.

On the 10th of September we received the sacrament of Confirmation. This was a wonderful ceremony celebrated by Fr. Donworth. We enjoyed the day with our friends and families.

In Literacy we are reading the novel Wonder. This is a really enjoyable book and we are looking forward to watching the movie at the end. We also explored the comprehension strategy prediction and read several books to teach us the strategy.

In PE we have played lots of games of Rounders. This has been great fun and gets pretty competitive!!

We explored Irish myths and legends in History. We worked in groups and completed mini projects and presented them to the rest of the class.

During Maths week, we did lots of activities including a Maths trail that was based on our school grounds. This was lots of fun and taught us lots of Maths skills.

We completed brilliant projects in SESE. Courtney and Kate treated us to lots of baked treats after completing a project based on the history of baking.

STEM was so much fun this term! We made structures using spaghetti and marshmallows. Take a look at the pictures below to see our amazing constructions.

We loved dressing up for Halloween and enjoyed some spooky art activities.

Ms Mullane is so proud of all the hard work that has been done this term. Well done to everyone!

Have a lovely Midterm break. Oíche Shamhna shona daoibh!
