Happy Easter! What an eventful term this one has been! Everyone has had a great term.

The boys took part in the FAI soccer blitz in Corbally. They played several matches and everyone had a great day out.

Both boys and girls participated in the INTO mini 7's in Newcastle West.We showed great team work and spirit.

In SESE , we completed projects on topics that were of interest of us.Some of us chose our favourite people from the past, while others made volcanoes and soap worms! Amy and Maedbh explained  the science behind baking and brought us some delicious baked treats!

We also worked together in groups to complete projects on the Solar System. Each group informed the class on interesting facts about their chosen planet. We also made papier mache planets.

This year we have been working on the LEAF( Learning about forests)project. This term we completed a school based workshop learning about our natural environment. We learned about food chains and planted bare root trees in our school garden. Luckily, we had a sunny day to enjoy our activities outside! Rachel from An Taisce shared her wisdom with us about the importance of our forests and trees.

As part of our Confirmation year, we decided to donate to the Butterfly Club in Rathkeale. This club is a social club for children and teenagers with special needs. This totally voluntary club also provides respite to the parents of these children.  Margaret and Julia visited us for the cheque presentation and told us about the amazing work the club is doing.
